WW meals that are awesome on points and easy on the littles
I have been home for 2 months now and this week is the first time I have attempted to *actually* cook meals. By this I mean that I can scramble an egg but have to ask for help finding spices at the grocery. I am great at microwaving things, like, pro status.
I decided I owe it to myself and my kids to be more "mommish" (in the most 50's sense of the word) by trying my hand at meal prep, legit cooking, and cleaning up several dishes after the meal is over. I found that this was a lot easier to accomplish for a few reasons; I now have time to look on the internet (aka obsessively follow Tasty's YouTube channel), pick meals I think everyone will enjoy, and adjust my grocery list accordingly.
The first male I tried were simple. I chose to re-create the asparagus pesto chicken and the fajita chicken recipes found here. The instruction were simple, there were only a few ingredients, and they only call for a baking sheet and parchment paper - no way to fail.
Additionally the fear of to gaining a skill such as cooking make it likely I would order this book on Amazon when my kids are older.
PS The grocery store needs better signage or something, I get lost five times per visit. No joke.
